Built by Engineers, for the Energy Industry

OpSys was founded in Dubai in 2015 by a team of power systems engineers who had spent years commissioning renewable plants, substations, and grid-connected battery storage across the Middle East — and who were frustrated by the gap between the software available and what the industry actually needed.

The founding insight was simple: the energy transition would not succeed on hardware alone. It required intelligent software that could manage the complexity of intermittent renewables, distributed storage, and dynamic grid conditions at scale — software built by people who understood the physics, the grid codes, and the operational realities of modern energy systems.

A decade later, OpSys has grown from a Dubai-based engineering firm into a global energy intelligence platform, with 2 GW of renewable capacity under management across 50+ operating sites in more than 30 countries.

2015
Founded in Dubai
OpSys established in Dubai Production City with a founding team of power systems engineers who had spent years commissioning renewable plants, substations, and grid-connected BESS across the Middle East.
2017
First Power Plant Controller
Deployed the first OpSys Power Plant Controller (PPC) for a 50 MW solar IPP in the UAE — delivering IEC-compliant active and reactive power control without a single line of manual PLC code.
2019
AI Forecasting Engine
Launched the OpSys ML-based generation forecasting platform, achieving sub-5% MAPE accuracy for solar and wind assets using ensemble models trained on regional NWP and historical SCADA data.
2021
BESS EMS Platform
Released the integrated Battery Energy Management System, enabling multi-chemistry BESS optimization, SoC/SoH monitoring, and grid services dispatch across hundreds of MWh of deployed storage.
2023
Three-Layer Enterprise Platform
Launched the unified OpSys enterprise platform — Energy Infrastructure, Energy Management, and AI Energy Intelligence — consolidating SCADA, PPC, BESS EMS, forecasting, and analytics into a single operating system.

Our dedicated engineering and manufacturing facility in Dubai Production City is where OpSys hardware products are built, tested, and integrated — and where our software platform is developed and validated against real electrical systems.

Located in Dubai Production City (IMPZ), our 2,500 m² facility houses panel manufacturing, system integration, testing laboratories, and software development teams under one roof — enabling rapid prototyping and end-to-end quality control.
